Why a small workshop

Fewer people between your file and the machine

A large bureau gives you capacity you will not use and a queue you cannot see into. What a small shop gives you instead is a short chain of command, and that is worth more on the work most businesses actually order.

You talk to the person printing it

There is no account manager in the middle. Whoever reads your file, orients it and pulls it off the plate is the person who answers the phone, so a question about wall thickness gets an answer rather than a ticket number.

A revision can go on the machine the same afternoon

Send a change at eleven and it can be printing by two. There is no order queue to join and no production slot to book, so the loop between a design review and a part in your hand is measured in hours.

A reorder is the same file, so it is the same part

Material, layer height, wall count, infill and orientation are recorded against your job. Order the part again in six months and it is printed from that recipe rather than interpreted afresh, and you hear from us first if anything has to change.

Capabilities

Where printing is the right answer, and where it is not

Knowing where the process stops is part of the service. If your job belongs on a mill, in a mould or with a certified supplier, you will hear it on the first call rather than after the parts arrive.

What we are good at

  • Runs of one to two hundred parts, with the per-unit price stepping down at 5, 10, 25 and 50
  • Parts up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm in one piece, and larger assemblies split and bonded
  • Functional fits, clearances and moving assemblies held to about ±0.3 mm
  • 9 filaments, from PLA for a fit check to carbon-filled PETG for tooling
  • Files kept on record, so a repeat order is a reprint rather than a new project

What we will send you elsewhere for

  • Over about 500 units: injection moulding wins on cost per part, even after tooling
  • Fits tighter than ±0.3 mm. That is machining work, and we will say so before you order
  • Food-contact, medical, certified or safety-critical parts, and anything used as a lifting point
  • Continuous service above about 90°C, where the filaments we run start to lose their shape

How it works

Four steps from file to finished parts

Most jobs run start to finish in 5–7 working days. You deal with one person throughout, and nothing is charged until the price and the date are agreed.

The full process
  1. 01

    Send the file

Drop an STL or 3MF onto the quote page for a price in seconds, or email a sketch, a photograph or the broken part. The model is measured in your browser and never leaves your machine until you order.

  2. 02

    We confirm the price

We slice the file, check it will print the way the part has to work, and come back with a fixed price and a date. No VAT: we're not VAT registered.

  3. 03

    It prints in Folkestone

The job runs here on the Bambu Lab P1P and Bambu Lab A1. Material, layer height, wall count, infill and orientation are all recorded against your job so the run can be repeated exactly.

  4. 04

    Collect or we post it

Collect from Folkestone by arrangement, or we post tracked anywhere in the UK. Invoiced on completion, 14 days for account customers.

Service area

Printed in Folkestone, delivered across east Kent

Most of the work we take on travels less than an hour: the harbour trades in Folkestone and Dover, the units around Cheriton and the Eurotunnel terminal, the marine and repair businesses along the coast, and the studios and workshops inland towards Ashford and Canterbury.

Collection is from Folkestone by arrangement, usually the day a job comes off the plate. Everything else goes tracked, and we post UK-wide.

Send the file and we will price it today

Upload a model for an instant estimate, or tell us what the part has to do and we will work out whether printing is the right way to make it. Minimum order £30, standard turnaround 5–7 working days.
