Privacy notice
Short, because we collect very little. The headline: your 3D model is measured inside your own browser and never reaches us unless you choose to send it.
Who we are
PixelCrafted Prints is a 3D printing business run by Louis Wharmby from Folkestone, Kent. We are the data controller for the information described here. There is no data protection officer, because we are not required to appoint one: questions go directly to hello@pixelcraftedprints.co.uk or 07424 344734.
Your model files
The instant estimate opens and measures your STL or 3MF file inside your browser, using your own computer’s processor. The file is not uploaded, not transmitted and not stored on any server. Closing the tab leaves no copy anywhere except on your own device.
A file only reaches us when you deliberately send one: attached to an order, or emailed with an enquiry. At that point it is used to make your parts and for nothing else. We do not resell, republish or reuse customers’ designs, and we do not add them to any portfolio or example gallery.
What we collect, and why
- Enquiry details: your name, company, email, phone number if you give one, and what you have written about the part. Collected so we can answer you. Lawful basis: legitimate interests, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- Order and geometry details: the file you send, the material, quantity and settings agreed, and the price. Used to make the parts and to reproduce them accurately if you reorder. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
- Invoicing records: what was sold, to whom, for how much and when. Lawful basis: legal obligation, because HMRC requires business records to be kept.
- Server logs: the ordinary request records our hosting provider keeps, including IP addresses, for security and to stop the enquiry form being abused. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.
We do not collect special category data, we do not profile anyone, and we do not make automated decisions with legal effects. The price the estimator calculates is arithmetic, not a decision about you.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become orders: up to twelve months, then deleted. People often come back with the same job.
- Model files and print settings: for the life of the order plus the reprint window, and afterwards only where you have asked us to hold them so a reorder matches the first run. Ask and they are deleted, with confirmation once it is done.
- Invoices and accounting records: six years from the end of the relevant financial year, which is the period UK tax law requires.
Who else sees it
As few people as possible. Enquiries submitted through this website are relayed to our own inbox by an email delivery provider, and the site is hosted by a third-party hosting provider: both process data on our instructions only. Where parts are posted, the courier receives your delivery address. Accounting records are seen by our accountant. Nobody else.
We do not sell data, we do not share it for marketing, and there is no advertising or analytics tracking on this site. No cookie is set for advertising or profiling purposes.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us to: give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you; correct anything inaccurate; delete it; restrict what we do with it; provide it in a portable format; or object to processing we carry out on the basis of legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Email hello@pixelcraftedprints.co.ukand we will respond within one month, usually much sooner. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Security and storage
Files and enquiries are held on access-controlled accounts protected by two-factor authentication. Data is stored in the UK or the European Economic Area wherever our providers offer it. Where a provider processes data outside that area, it is under the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
Changes
If this notice changes, the review date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes affecting existing customers will be sent by email rather than left here to be discovered.

Price a part without sending us anything
The estimator measures your file on your own machine. If you decide not to order, no copy of your design exists anywhere but on your computer.
