1. Who these terms are with

These terms apply to work carried out by PixelCrafted Prints, run by Louis Wharmby from Folkestone, Kent. They apply to every order unless we have agreed something different in writing. If your own purchase terms conflict with these, tell us before you order rather than after.

2. Estimates and quotations

The figure produced by the instant estimator is an estimate. It is calculated from the geometry of your file rather than from actually slicing it, which is why we call it an estimate and never a quotation. Before anything is printed we slice the file properly and confirm the price.

If the confirmed figure is lower than the estimate, you pay the lower one. If it is materially higher, which happens with unusual geometry, heavy support requirements or very thin walls: we tell you why before starting, and you are free to withdraw at no cost. A confirmed quotation is valid for 30 days.

The minimum order value is £30. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to any figure we quote.

3. Tolerances and what a printed part is

Fused filament parts typically hold ±0.3 mm on dimensions up to 100 mm, with more drift on larger parts. Holes generally print undersized. Parts are stronger along the print layers than across them. These are properties of the process, not defects, and a part within those tolerances is a conforming part.

If a specific dimension has to be tighter, tell us before you order and we will say whether it can be held, whether the feature can be machined after printing, or whether the part should be made by another process. Nothing we supply carries a material certificate, a batch trace or a load rating.

Colour, gloss and surface texture vary slightly between filament batches. Where an exact colour match across separate orders matters, say so and we will reserve stock from one batch.

4. Your intellectual property

You keep every right in your designs. Sending us a file grants us permission to make your parts and nothing else. We do not resell, republish, reuse, adapt or display customers’ designs, and we do not use them as examples without written permission.

Where we produce a model for you as design work, ownership of that model passes to you on payment, including the native source files. You may take it to any other manufacturer.

By placing an order you confirm that you have the right to have the part made: that it is your design, or that you have the rightsholder’s permission. We are entitled to rely on that confirmation.

5. Work we will not accept

We will not print, and reserve the right to refuse:

• weapons, weapon components, ammunition components and anything designed to be used as a weapon;
• anything designed to defeat a lock, a security device or an access control;
• anything unlawful, or anything infringing a third party’s copyright, trademark, patent or registered design;
• food-contact, medical, certified or safety-critical parts, and anything used as a lifting point or load path above a person.

Where we refuse an order on these grounds, any payment already made for it is refunded in full.

6. Lead times

Lead times run from the point the design and price are agreed, not from the enquiry. Standard is 3 to 5 working days, express is 48 hours and next working day is subject to the queue. We will tell you the real date before you commit.

Where a date genuinely cannot be met because of equipment failure or something else outside our control, we will tell you as soon as we know and you may cancel the unfulfilled part of the order for a full refund.

7. Payment

Invoiced on completion, 14 days for account customers. New customers pay on completion, before collection or dispatch. Established account customers work to 14 days from the invoice date. Payment is by bank transfer or card.

Batch orders over £250 may be split into a deposit and a balance on delivery. Where an invoice is not paid by its due date we may charge statutory interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. Goods remain our property until paid for in full.

8. Faults, cancellation and returns

If a part is not as agreed: wrong dimensions, wrong material, a defect in printing: tell us within 14 days of receipt and we will reprint it or refund it. Photographs of the problem help and are usually enough.

Because parts are made to your specification, there is no right to return them simply because they are no longer wanted, and consumer cancellation rights for goods made to a customer’s specification do not apply. An order can be cancelled before printing begins at no cost; once printing has started, the work already done is chargeable.

We are responsible for the parts we supply. We are not responsible for the suitability of your design for its purpose, for the choice of material where you have specified it against our advice, or for indirect or consequential loss such as lost production or lost profit. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Confidentiality

We treat your files, drawings and enquiries as confidential by default and do not need a signed agreement in order to do so. If your process requires one, send it with your enquiry and it will come back signed. Files are deleted on request, and otherwise as set out in the privacy notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
